Sabina Schumacher, a German woman living in the oldest city of the Spanish Mediterranean, Almuñécar, who speaks five languages: German, Spanish, Danish, English and Swedish, because she was born in Sweden, runs a very familiar business, as her daughter and son-in-law also work in the same restaurant, since 15 June 2007.

Her restaurant is located in one of the most emblematic places of Almuñécar, on the promenade of San Cristóbal beach, very close to some of the most important places of Almuñécar, such as the Parque del Majuelo, Loro Sexi and the Castillo de San Miguel among other monuments and places of interest.

This restaurant offers a very international (like its owner) and Spanish cuisine based mainly on fresh fish and seafood, prepared with raw materials from the Costa del Sol and Tropical, being top quality products thanks to the privileged microclimate of the area. And with recipes to the taste of all visitors.

Likewise, Sabina Restaurant offers a very economical daily menu during the week, and on holidays and weekends this menu becomes special. There is also a special menu for children. As well as special menus for groups and dishes suitable for vegetarians, coeliacs and people with food intolerances. Everyone has a special place in Sabina’s restaurant.

The menu also includes starters, salads, scrambled eggs, rice dishes, paellas and tasty meats. Although it is very common that during the summer the diners prefer fried fish and during the rest of the year they prefer grilled food. But before leaving, it is obligatory to mention their delicious homemade desserts, among which the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream stands out. And all of this garnished with some good wines from their cellar or the drink of your choice.

Its clientele is very heterogeneous, ranging from locals to visitors from all corners of Spain and the world, so those who know the place recommend it for its quiet and relaxed atmosphere, the attention and friendliness of both the owner and the rest of the staff.

This atmosphere is reinforced by its classic decoration with an elegant and functional style, large windows so as not to miss the unbeatable views of such a privileged place. Pets are also welcome, giving them the treatment they deserve.

For all these reasons, Sabina Restaurant in Almuñécar is a charming place to organise family celebrations (weddings, baptisms and communions), with friends or business dinners enjoying international and Spanish cuisine, where you will find a careful treatment and the best value for money in the area.

The owner of the restaurant, Sabina, already lived in Almuñécar before deciding to open this business, and if anyone from outside asks her why she chose Almuñécar to live she is very clear, and it is because life in Almuñécar or La Herradura is a pearl.
