This edition of the flamenco festival, La Caña Flamenca 2023, will be the sixth edition, which is an initiative of the Provincial Council of Granada together with the Junta de Andalucía, the Commonwealth of municipalities of the Costa Tropical of Granada and the Motril City Councils, Almuñécar, Lentegí, Vélez de Benaudalla, Torrenueva Costa, Gualchos-Castell de Ferro, Sorvilán (Los Yesos), Albondón and Albuñol (La Rábita).

This Festival aims to promote flamenco during the summer months on the Costa Tropical of Granada, and it has become a benchmark event for flamenco at all levels since its first edition in the summer of 2018.

It is organized by Chipé Producciones with the collaboration of the different town halls and the Provincial Council of Granada. And also in this festival the most traditional flamenco is mixed with the most modern, where the flamenco clubs and the residents of the municipalities actively participate for the enjoyment of the rest of the visitors, flamenco fans, curious tourists and music lovers. Because this festival fuses new talents with the experience and know-how of established artists, since stars of this art such as El Cigala and Antonio Carmona (Ketama) among others have passed through it.
