On October 31, 2025, Almuñécar transforms into a lively Halloween destination filled with fun for everyone — from the family-friendly “Fall Fest” to trick-or-treating through local shops and a chilling haunted house. The Town Hall has already highlighted Halloween and the Fall Fest as key moments of the October cultural agenda.

The Fall Fest takes place on October 31 and is free of charge, designed especially for families. Expect dinosaurs, face-painting, games, sweets, and loads of fun — the perfect way to start the spooky evening before the scarier events begin.

That same Friday 31, the official Halloween program (Oct 31 – Nov 2) includes: 4:00 PM funfair rides, 5:00 PM kids’ show “The Witches of Salem”, 6:30 PM costume contest, and at 7:30 PM, a haunted house by Elenco Teatro. Families are also encouraged to go trick-or-treating around town in the afternoon.

In La Herradura, the celebration kicks off on October 31 at 4:30 PM in Plaza de la Independencia with workshops, inflatables, and a kids’ costume contest. There’ll be a traditional chestnut and sweet-potato snack hosted by Peña Hopo, and at 8:00 PM, a +16 horror movie screening at the Civic Center Auditorium, with free admission until full capacity.
.For those who prefer rhythm to fright, at 7:00 PM in the Casa de la Cultura, flamenco artist Juan Carlos Avecilla presents “PASAJЕ” (tickets €15 pre-sale + fee, €18 door). The show journeys from first cry to final breath, blending life and death through voice and movement — the perfect poetic contrast for Halloween night.

The celebration continues on Saturday, November 1, with the Granada Fest – Halloween Special, organized by the local Youth Council. Expect live music, performances, and plenty of atmosphere across the weekend of All Saints’ Day. Check the official cultural agenda for detailed times and venues.
