Enjoy the 35th Almuñécar International Jazz Festival

After two years of restrictions, the Almuñécar International Jazz Festival returns with more strength and enthusiasm than ever, to liven up the warm nights of July in the oldest city of the Spanish Mediterranean and tourism capital of the Costa Tropical of Granada, Almuñécar.
From 19 to 24 July 2022 from 22:00 hours (doors open at 21:30 hours) you can enjoy all the passion for Jazz in the historic and central Parque del Majuelo in Almuñécar, thanks to the initiative of the Diputación de Granada in collaboration with the City Council of Almuñécar to organize the Festival de Jazz en la Costa, which this year reaches its 35th edition and has become one of the oldest international Jazz events in Europe.

In the unbeatable setting of the Majuelo Park in Almuñécar, just a few metres from the Mediterranean Sea breeze, at the foot of the Arab fortress of San Miguel, next to the Phoenician ruins and the garum factory and surrounded by a myriad of tropical plants and trees from all over the world, thanks to the mild and pleasant microclimate of Almuñécar and La Herradura, you can delight yourself with the sound of the best Jazz artists.

In this award-winning festival have participated among others the figures of: Tete Montoliú, Joshua Redman, Eliane Elías, José James, Charles Lloyd, Chano Domínguez, Chucho Valdés, Paquito D’Rivera, Rosa Passos and many more.
