Next August 31st to close the busiest month of the year in Almuñécar and La Herradura, in the spectacular El Majuelo Park in Almuñécar, surrounded by history, art and nature and a few meters from the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the impressive Medieval Castle of San Miguel, will be held from 21:30 in the evening the grand finale of the Miss Universe Gala of Andalusia.
In this event 16 finalists will participate, and the one who wins the jury’s prize will also have the honour of representing our autonomous community, Andalusia, in the great Miss Spain Gala, so if you have the opportunity, whether you are visiting Almuñécar, La Herradura or any other part of the Costa Tropical of Granada, we will be waiting for you there on the 31st of August in the late afternoon.
Although throughout the month of July the candidates have already been in the town, as they have participated in several photo shoots at the Best Alcazár Hotel in La Herradura, as well as a “Fashion Night” or fashion show.
The big day, which must be marked on the calendar, will be the 31st August 2010, when all the cameras and flashes of the media will be on the lookout for the grand finale of the Miss Universe Andalusia Gala.
In addition, it should be noted that the whole town is committed to the event, as it has the support of the entire hotel and tourism sector of Almuñécar and La Herradura, from restaurants and beach bars to hotels and water sports companies.
And this is no coincidence, as everyone knows the importance of the event. In addition, it is worth mentioning that the jury will be joined by people and companies from the Miss Universe Spain organization.
It is also important to point out that the city of Almuñécar has been selected as the venue for the grand final of the Miss Universe Gala in Andalusia, and has had to beat two other strong candidate cities with a great tradition in beauty pageants, such as Benalmádena on the Costa del Sol: Benálmadena on the Costa del Sol in Málaga and El Puerto de Santa María on the coast of Cádiz. But finally the chosen one has been the oldest city of the Spanish Mediterranean, Almuñécar.
On the other hand, we cannot fail to mention that this is the first edition of Miss Universe Andalucía with a new pageant format. Because the pageant has also adapted to modern times in which it aims to empower women far from stereotypes.
To this end, all the candidates have received extensive training, receiving active coaching to help them train as professionals in the world of fashion, advertising…
The winner of Miss Universe Andalucía will be a candidate in Miss Universe Spain and, if selected, will represent all of Spain in the International Miss Universe Contest.
